PKU-CCME Alumni Xiaoliang Sunney Xie Wins the Peter Debye Award in Physical
American Chemical Society (ACS) recently announced the selection of Prof. Xiaoliang Sunney Xie, the Mallinckrodt Professor of Chemistry & Chemical
Biology at Harvard University, director of Biodynamic Optical Imaging Center
(BIOPIC), an alumni and guest professor of College of Chemistry and Molecular
Engineering at Peking University, as the 2015 recipient of the Peter
Debye Award in Physical Chemistry.
Debye Award in Physical Chemistry is the highest national award in physical chemistry
held by ACS, in memory of Prof. Peter Debye, the famous scientist in physical
chemistry and the recipient of Nobel Prize in 1936.
Xiaoliang Sunney Xie is
awarded as a pioneer in single-molecule biophysical chemistry for his
development and implementation of single-molecule analytical techniques, as
reported by ACS.
